London-based luxury retailer Duchamp have all the markings of a quintessentially British brand that, even though they are 23 years young, still feel as though they are absolutely steeped in heritage. Known for their accessories, Duchamp have a rich offering of ties, cufflinks and pocket squares to accompany their growing apparel collection.

For Autumm/Winter the brand have fused classic British heritage, using fabrics such as Harris Tweed, with a dandy-esque style found in statement checks [like the coat pictured left, now on sale at £440] and colourful cords. They've also incorporated wax cotton jackets into the range so they've got the practical side covered too - again most of it is currently on sale so be sure to check out the available styles online.

We love a bit of Harris Tweed here at A La Male and Nicholas Deakins has tickled our fancy again with their latest collaboration incorporating some fantastic heritage styling. Their latest offering for AW12 features four-button pique polos that have been given a fresh lease of life in the form of Harris Tweed pocket detailing with subtle bursts of orange and blue.

The Steed Harris Polo is available at £45 - a brilliantly modest price for an ultimately timeless piece. Beyond this, Nicholas Deakins also introduce the Laverick Harris boot at £105 [pictured below] - a very nice piece for the cold season, hand-made in Spain from the finest full-grain waxy leather.

As always, we are mighty fond of any attention to detail in our favoured menswear pieces and the Esemplare AW12 collection has certainly turned our heads. The brand's outerwear is of superb construction and it's the tailored qualities that have really caught our eye. There really is an equal relationship between form and function here with many hoods, removable linings, waterproof treatments and an abundance of pockets.

Wool has played a large role in this collection and you can see from the above image that we're talking about some hefty, well-constructed garments. The "Sebastian" knitted parka [pictured left] is made from extra fine merino virgin wool and finished with the brand's nano-technology treatment making it nice and waterproof. Also be sure to look out for Esemplare in our latest editorial.

Timberland have us - and our feet - covered with their new Abington collection for AW12. These workwear and outdoor-inspired pieces feature more boots that we'd love to be trudging through snow in, again in high quality leathers, suedes and canvases - bring it on Winter. We've selected our favourite pieces from the collection [pictured below] and it should be pretty obvious as to why - this is some fine footwear.

The first shoe is the Work Oxford in green Charles F. Stead suede and Vibram outsoles [at £150] whilst the first boot in tan Horween leather is the  Abington Low Guide boot available for £220. For something a little slicker there's the final boot in our top picks - the 6" Work Boot in black - that we also consider to be the most versatile in the range. That black beauty is going for £195.

Ski season is upon us and we wouldn't be a very good promoter of men's fashion and lifestyle if we didn't say that you simply must travel in style. Well actually you can do what you want but we certainly recommend this new luggage from a collaboration between RIMOWA and Moncler. This wheeled suitcase really does look the part as premium manufacturers RIMOWA certainly know a thing or two about about luggage.

The featured example comes in the brand's signature lightweight black aluminium finish and Moncler have lent their luxury quilted down to line this beauty - the lining is formed of Moncler's historic lacqué nylon fabric. They've also included a mix of accessories in this collaboration with some quilted shoe bags and washbags that you can see in the white-lined option below. Available for £990.

It's hiking season right now - or at least hiking boot season as re-affirmed by the new Gravis Expedition collection. This premium footwear range has the usual marks of a fine boot with premium suede exteriors and Sherpa linings to keep those tootsies warm. These classic styles are going down well at the moment but we also like their Yachtmaster styles with our favourite colourways pictured below. You've got to love a bit of green tartan.

There's also a collection preview video featuring professional snowboarder Danny Davis crunching snow in the Mason style [also pictured left]. The Expedition collection is certainly mentally preparing us for the impending frosts and chilly mornings where we certainly wouldn't mind a bit of Sherpa lining wrapped around our feet.

Sportswear legend Lacoste have us in awe over their AW12 LED footwear collection. The "Lacoste Essential Design" range features timeless pieces that have an ultimately minimal yet classic style and you can see from the imagery that there has been compromise on quality here. This is the second season from the LED collection and also the début for Winter hence why we're seeing leathers and earthy tones.

The "Rydal" style [above and left] is priced at £150 and is a brand new entry and is a take on the classic hiking boot. Again it's the simplicity we love but it's the details such as the suede tongue and double contrast stitching that really grabs us. We're not sure who would actually consider hiking in something so slick but you never know - we're also digging the Heldon styles [below] in leather and suede priced at £115.

Over the past few months, the River Island cogs have been cranking non-stop and luckily A La Male have had the opportunity to share a lot of these developments with you in real time. Now we think it's time for one more. The River Island Blogger Design Project has given us - as well as fellow blogs Fashion Beans and Individualism - the chance to design a couple of accessories for you all.

With a tote [£25], iPad case [£18] and iPhone case [£10] making up the collection we opted for slick yet versatile designs to create something truly suitable for every man - just take a look at our smart/casual options below. A minimal exterior opens to reveal a punchy paisley print, so whether you think this is quirky, exotic or just a bit posh - we've got every guy under consideration here. So . . . how will you wear yours?

Etre Shop have us covered for the Autumn/Winter season with their range of British made merchandise inspired by traditional workwear. Whether it's hand-stitched leather gloves or hand-knitted beanies you're after, Etre Shop have a less-than-traditional trick up their sleeve - contactwoven fingertips. On their gloves this allows one to use  touch-screen smartphones and devices whilst keeping those digits nice and warm; so not even the cold can stop our iPhone obsessives.

As well as these innovative gloves there's also a modest selection of accessories including scarves and bags - our favourites are included below. We also love their Workwear Jacket [left] made from Melton cloth - inspired by traditional sailors' peacoats. Heritage, heritage, heritage - we cannot get enough.

A few months ago, A La Male went behind-the-scenes at the campaign shoot for River Island's Holloway Road Collection. Be sure to check out what we saw in our video below and get a glimpse into the exciting things the River Island team get up to. Through this we had a sneak peek at the new AW12 pieces which have recently hit stores and are also available online.

You can see our top picks of this vintage workwear-inspired collection below with a lot of rugged styling teamed with a mix of classic and contemporary accessories - we have a particular fondness for the scissor bow-tie. The collection takes a leaf out of River Island's history books and is named after the brand's first ever location on Holloway Road back in 1948. Talk about longevity on the high-street . . .

Mr Porter have recently re-launched their Shopping App for the iPhone and naturally we thought we'd give it a go. As far as shopping goes, even an online purchase can be a stretch for some people - the "hassle", the confusion, not knowing what a garment properly looks and feels like - it can be frustrating.

However for all of you iPhone users, this might just be the next big thing - we do of course presume that you're somewhat tech-savvy for owning such a device in the first place. Either way the new Mr Porter shopping app is really straightforward with an easy-to-navigate shop and even their trusty Style Help outlet featuring the usual "Essentials", "Stylepedia", "Video Manuals" and more.

On to the shopping now and we decided that it would be good form to buy for the season - hence the Hunter wellies [left] and London Undercover brolly [below]. J Crew do superb sweats and of course we wanted in on some of that Camo action so we opted for Jack Purcell Converse sneakers. Just think - on Monday morning you get a last minute appointment for Tuesday first thing, you could hit the app before 10am on your commute and get yourself a brand new suit in the nick of time.

New menswear e-tailer StyleGun offer something rather different in the world of online shopping. Their bid is to make the shopping experience far less tasking and stressful for the busy modern man who just has so much going on in his life. Well some of us like to pretend. New brands are being added all the time to existing favourites such as John Smedley, Levi's and Oliver Sweeney.

With their Body Map feature, StyleGun is all about finding the perfect fit and choosing clothes that suit your size and frame. You're likely to end up learning a thing or two about your body this way and it's a teaching tool you can then use when you dare to break out of the e-commerce world and venture back into a shop one day. If you're not too busy that is.
