London also saw the recent arrival of the NBA Room at the New Era Stratford store with exclusive headwear and their Slam Dunk 180 competition. After its inception in Berlin, Londoners now have the chance - up until January 20th that is - to slam dunk the funk for a chance to win £50 to spend in store. Three hoops in a row - no biggie.

This basketball court joins the popular pop-up retail world giving sports fans and streetwear aficionados a chance to compete for style - it's not the everyday that's for sure. There's also the chance to win a signed basketball by an NBA team when signing up to their mailing list. You have until Sunday so get those kicks on and hop to it.

The New Era NBA Room at London Westfield Stratford City open till January 20th.

Richard James have been busy bees indeed, what with London Collections: Men and now a pop-up shop to celebrate the new Mayfair accessories line. The Savile Row menswear brand takes its quirky use of colour and classic British styling to give us something brilliant for SS13 - store details below.

Despite barely being a decade old this is certainly one of the most exciting menswear brands to come out of London. Shaking up the traditions of Savile Row, dressing celebrity royalty and experiencing a natural growth [from the launch of their own fragrance to their global expansion] is why we think you should be keeping an eye on these fellas.

The Richard James Mayfair Accessories Pop-Up can be located at 47 Lambs Conduit Street, London. WC1N 3NG.

East London's alternative and creative hub sees the arrival of it's namesake Dalston Department Store who have collaborated with the East London Design Show in this four day pop-up event. It's all about premium British Independent product, interior and jewellery designers here this weekend where you'll find them within a stunning industrial-retail setting.

After making your way through the goods elevator you'll find yourself amongst a mix of some great UK menswear labels including D.S. Dundee, Hancock and Percival [pictured left]. We really support this kind of initiative to promote home-grown talent, which of course we stress to you as well - at the end of the day it's another excuse to go shopping.

This week saw the opening of the two-week pop-up shop by English heritage brand Peregrine. You'll find the AW12 collection at the Cube pop-up space over the next fortnight as well as archive imagery depicting Peregrine's rich history. The brand was created in 1956 from a heritage that already spanned 160 years.

Many years later and we're seeing modern and timeless classics made from choice British textiles. Even staple pieces such as the Woodford Biker Jacket [pictured left] can be found in the new collection - again made on home soil. It's certainly a country-to-city coat, perfect for Winter with it's waterproof and spot clean qualities. Also at £245 you can't go wrong with something as ultimately and stylishly British as this.
